Welcome to The Market House

The Market House, nestled in the heart of Glastonbury on Magdalene Street, offers a charming and inviting stay that beautifully captures the essence of this historic town. With a solid rating of 3.9, this establishment marries comfort with genuine hospitality, creating an atmosphere that welcomes visitors like old friends.

Guests consistently praise the warmth and attentiveness of the staff, highlighting their friendly nature and readiness to go above and beyond. The rooms, described as clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped, provide stunning views of iconic landmarks such as the Glastonbury Abbey and the Tor. These vistas, coupled with the serene ambiance of the pub’s garden featuring an eye-catching mural, elevate the experience beyond mere accommodation.

The Market House excels in offering practical amenities, including free Wi-Fi, private parking, and a kid- and pet-friendly environment. The inclusion of a bar and restaurant within the premises caters well to both casual visitors and families. Many guests appreciate the quality of the breakfast and coffee, noting that the food is both delicious and well-priced. The lively yet family-friendly atmosphere within the restaurant and bar fosters a sense of community, further enriching one's stay.

Visitors also value the thoughtful touches such as self-service hot drinks within the rooms and ongoing improvements to room facilities, which speak to the management’s dedication to guest comfort. While minor suggestions from guests—like adding bottled water or locks on bathroom doors—point to opportunities for subtle enhancement, they do little to overshadow the overall positive impression.

Highly recommended for families, solo adventurers, and groups seeking comfort paired with genuine local character.

Ideal location on the high street. We have stayed here quite a few times and like the little changes like the new handles so you can close the bedroom doors from the outside. Food is reasonable and good quality. Friendly staff and very welcoming.
